I am happy to see Verizon now offers a complete department for accessibility.
It is on the website.
It is called
National Accessibility Customer Service
I was able to click on a section that gave me a list of phones that were accessible for the blind, or low vision.
They have other sections as well.
Thought I’d share this.

Thanks, I'm going to be in the market for a new phone soon and this should be helpful.

They're pretty behind on this, but better late than never I guess.

No one else has a setup like it exactly though.
A T and T has a department, but you have to call, or email.
Verizon is offering it right on site.
I've got to see if they have improved any other aspects of the website too.
They lagged behind A T and T in that respect.
You can't order ringtones, and such, as you can with A T and T.

My phone broke earlier this week and while I can still use it, it isn't going to last much longer.
I just got back from the Verizon store, fully prepared after checking out the Verizon wireless accessibility site.
Ha ha! Or so I thought! I'm not ready to go the iPhone route and had decided on either the LG Extravert or the Samsung Gusto 2 both of which are listed on the accessibility page of accesible phones for low vision and blind.
Well, they are both prepaid phones now and not available from Verizon. Sems like you can only purchase them online and prepaid is not a blind friendly thing.
They did have the Gusto 3 but since it wasn't listed on the page... And of course, no one in the store had any clues.
The toll free number on the accessibility page? Ha! Only open Monday through Friday!
My suggestion for anyone interested is to call the number before you go out to shop/buy since the page is apparently not up to date. I guess I should've known that since it only listed the iPhone 4 and 5 not 6 but I didn't pay much attention since I wasn't getting an iPhone.
Anyone know anything about the Gusto 3?

I did wonder why they didn't list more up to date phones.
